Grants

Where do I start?

When applications for grant programs open, you can submit the Intake Form. From there, you’ll be sent an application that best suits the project you’re seeking funding for.

The grant portal is not working. What should I do?

Ensure your internet connection is stable, and clear your cache. If that does not solve your problem, please send an email to applications@musicounts.ca and a member of our team will look into the issue.

Which granting stream is right for me?

The MusiCounts Band Aid Program funds traditional forms of music education like concert & jazz band, choir, Orff ensembles, guitar & ukulele groups, and more.

The MusiCounts Slaight Family Foundation Innovation Fund is intended for schools seeking to build or sustain dynamic programs that focus on technology, contemporary music, and/or culturally-specific music-making.

The MusiCounts Community Music Program funds community groups and not-for-profits seeking support for new or existing music programs for youth up to the age of 25.

When applications for funding programs open, applicants will first submit the Intake Form. After submission of the Intake Form, an application best suited to the project seeking funding will be distributed.

Can I apply to both School Music Funding Programs?

Schools may only apply for support from one MusiCounts School Music Funding Program per school year.

When will I be notified of the outcome of my application?

Please see the MusiCounts Programs Calendar for details.
