CBC Playlist Challenge

Given the uncertainties surrounding the coming school year, the 2020 Canadian Music Playlist Challenge is designed to engage students while learning together at home and/or in the classroom. This new program will ensure schools across Canada—regardless of their current music program capacity—have the opportunity to participate in this national celebration of Canadian music.

Here you can find a database of music education resources that help to facilitate at-home music education, curated by music teachers across Canada. This hub is fully searchable and can be sorted by category, meaning you can quickly find resources that align with your needs. Whether you’re a teacher in search of new ideas or a parent looking for ways to keep your kids engaged with music, this hub is for you.

Remote Music Blog Series

This open, ongoing series features video and written blogs submitted by teachers, parents and artists across Canada that discuss various tactics used to facilitate music education remotely. Educators can share how they are adapting their teaching practice to an online or distance-learning environment, and parents can share how they’re making music with their children at home.
