On Wednesday, November 21, the GTA Tech Leaders Concert Series invites you to join us for an evening of technology and entertainment sector networking and live music. Hosted at the legendary Phoenix Concert Theatre, leading technology companies, investors and ecosystem supporters within the Toronto and Waterloo technology sector will band together with the music sector to entertain you in support of MusiCounts, the music education charity affiliated with CARAS and the JUNO Awards.
Doors open at 7PM for pre-show networking. Live music commences at 8pm. Hosted by CBC’s Angeline Tetteh-Wayoe, (host, CBC Music, Weekend Mornings, CBC Music Top 20, Canada Live), the evening will feature performances by:
- Chris Hadfield
- Bucket List , an ensemble of musical technology sector execs,
- MusiCounts recipient group, Doane Uschool (ukulele school demonstration with Juno winner Melanie Doane)
- To be announced special guests
General admission tickets are available for $25 (+ tax). Food and drinks will be available for purchase during the event.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to MusiCounts Band Aid Program, a funding program which helps put instruments into schools across Canada. Every year, MusiCounts receives 400+ applications for this program. However, their current funding only allows them to provide funds to every 1 in 4 schools in need. With your support, we can help remove the financial barriers and positively impact children’s music education.
