MusiCounts & Rogers Celebrate Music Education & New $70K Donation

Now Over $150,000 In Instruments to School Across Canada via Rogers’ Support of MusiCounts

Through Rogers’ previous support, MusiCounts has supplied schools across Canada with nearly $100,000 in instruments via the MusiCounts Band Aid Program. Today, Rogers and MusiCounts celebrated music education at Rogers’ headquarters in Toronto. Students from 2019 MusiCounts Band Aid Program recipient school, Parkdale Collegiate Institute performed with their new MusiCounts instruments, and several students spoke about how music has positively impacted them, and the difference these new instruments will make for years to come.

To cap off the celebration, Julie Adam, Senior Vice President, Radio at Rogers Communications announced that Rogers is donating an additional $70,000 to support music education through MusiCounts! This means Rogers has committed over $150,000 to the MusiCounts Band Aid Program, and helped supply school music programs in need with instruments! Thank you to Rogers for helping MusiCounts inspire the next generation of artists, creators and music fans.

Following the event, Parkdale Collegiate Institute students took a tour of Rogers including stops at CHFI, Kiss 92.5, and Sportsnet.
