Overview:
MusiCounts and Baldwin Pianos have teamed up to create this new initiative that will provide one successful school applicant per year the delivery of a Baldwin grand piano, valued at over $40,000.

Selection Process:
Applications for the MusiCounts Baldwin Piano Prize will be accepted from previous Band Aid Grant recipient schools ONLY, which consist of public schools across Canada. The successful applicant will have to say why their school needs/deserves a new piano for their music education program.

The best application will be determined by MusiCounts taking into account specific criteria, including economic need; number of students; dedication of school staff, overall impact the grant would make and ultimately, why it is the school wants and/or needs a new piano.

Timing:
We will launch the prize the week after school is back in session (Jan 11-15) in January 2010. Submissions will be accepted for 60 days after announcement is made. MusiCounts and Baldwin will jointly announce the recipient of the first ever MusiCounts Baldwin Piano Prize in September of 2010.
